Make a sketch or take a photograph as a guide for routing the wiring harness -2- on the glove box.

Remove wiring harness -2- for glove box -1-.
–
On back of glove box -1-, cut out cover panel -arrow B- within peripheral groove (perforation) -arrow A-.
–
Install new wiring harness -2- for glove box -1-.
–
Route and secure new wiring harness -2- on glove box -1- according to sketch or photograph.

Thread connector for key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side -E224- through opening in glove box -arrow-.
–
Press key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side -E224--1- into mounting -2- in direction of -arrow- until retaining clips -arrows A- engage.

Engage wiring harness for key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side -E224- in keyhole-shaped opening of mounting -2-.

Plug in connector -4- at key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side -E224--1-.

Make sure connector engages properly (audibly).

Insert retaining tabs of mounting -arrows A- at rear in slots of glove box -3-.

Swivel up mounting -2- with key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side -E224- and clip retaining tabs -arrows B- into front in glove box.

Make sure retaining tabs -arrows- are properly engaged with glove box.
–
Screw in bolts -1- and tighten to specified torque.
