Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1332-

  Note
t  The RS bucket seat has no side airbag. Therefore, the electrical connection for the side airbag in the vehicle wiring harness must be provided with a terminating resistor.
t  Depending on the version, this terminating resistor is either attached directly to wiring harness, or fitted as a separate connector housing with terminating resistor → Chapter.
1 - Front seat
Removing
–  Move front seat -1- as far upwards and to rear as possible.
–  Unscrew bolts -3- (2x) at front.
–  Move seat forwards.
–  Detach seat belt eye at outer anchoring point on seat and remove seat belt from belt guide.
–  Unscrew bolts -4- (2x) at rear.
–  Tilt front seat -1- backwards.
–  Unplug electrical connectors → Chapter.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
2 - Seat rail covers
q   Front right and rear left are identical
q   Front left and rear right are identical
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
3 - Front bolts (2x)
q   Tightening torque: 50 Nm
4 - Rear bolts (2x)
q   Tightening torque: 50 Nm
