Indicated on display of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051A-: |
t
Display zone -1- indicates “Enter adaption value: 0....XXXXX”.
t
Input keypad appears in display zone -2-.
–
Use input keypad in display zone -2- to enter coded shutoff voltage for re-adaption of auxiliary heater control unit -J364- in line with encoding of auxiliary heater control unit -J364- as per table. For code “XXXX1”, refer to → Chapter or for code “XXXX2” to → Chapter.
Note t
The voltage value can be altered within the specified limits. The voltage value entered should however not be too high or too low → Chapter and → Chapter.
t
The shutoff voltage value set at the factory of 12.17 V (for code XXXX1 ) and 9.5 V (for code XXXX2 ) can be altered within the specified limits.
t
In the event of frequent activation of the auxiliary heater, auxiliary heater availability can be increased by reducing the adaption value with code “XXXX1” to a voltage of min. 10.1 V if requested by the customer. Customers must however be made aware of the possible consequences (engine starting problems may be encountered with this setting on account of excessive discharge of the battery -A-).
t
If the adapted voltage value is too high, auxiliary heater operating problems may be encountered (undervoltage shutoff).
t
If the adapted voltage value is too low (less than 11.30 V), engine starting problems may occur.
t
Depending on the version of the auxiliary heater control unit -J364-, rounding of the calculated value may result in the display and storage of slightly different values than in the table.
t
In addition to the values given in the tables, it is also possible to enter intermediate values (one unit corresponds to roughly 0.07 V).
t
The values in the two tables differ on account of different conversion values.
