Removing and installing temperature sender before particulate filter G506 > < Exhaust gas temperature control
Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1G235
Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-
   
Removing
  Note
All cable ties which are released or cut open when removing must be fitted in the same position when installing.
–  Pull off engine cover panel -arrows-.
  A10-10294
–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove air ducts -1- and -2-.

–  Unplug electrical connector -1- at air mass meter -G70-.
–  Loosen hose clip -2- to remove air intake hose.
–  Move clear wiring harness at air cleaner housing and remove air cleaner housing -arrow-.

–  Remove electrical connector -1- for exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235- from bracket (left-side) on bulkhead.
–  Unplug electrical connector and move wiring clear towards bottom of vehicle.
  Note
Disregard -item 2-.
  A23-10122
–  Unscrew oil supply pipe at turbocharger and exhaust manifold -arrows-.
–  Remove Lambda probe → Rep. Gr.23.
  A21-0306
–  Unscrew exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235--item 1-.
  Note
Disregard items marked -2- and -3-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Fit all cable ties in the original positions when installing.

–  Install exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235- so that it is parallel with surface of flange -arrows-.
