Quantities and type of grease for drive shaft with triple roller joint:
The 98 mm dia. constant velocity joint is filled with grease -G 000 633-.
The triple roller joint is filled with grease -G 000 605-.
Regrease joint when renewing boot.

1 - Bolt
q   Always renew if removed
Tightening torque for M16 bolt:
q   190 Nm and turn 180° further
Observe instructions for removal → Chapter
Observe instructions for installation → Anchor
2 - Boot for outer constant velocity joint
q   Check for splits and chafing
q   Greasing → Anchor
q   Briefly lift boot to equalise pressure before tightening hose clips → Fig.
q   Different versions (rubber or Hytrel)
3 - Hose clip
q   Different versions for rubber or Hytrel boot
q   Renew
q   Tightening → Fig.
4 - Drive shaft (tubular shaft)
q   Grease must be applied to the splines on the shaft when fitting the outer or inner joint
5 - Hose clip
q   Renew
q   Tightening → Fig.
6 - Joint body
7 - Multi-point socket head bolt
q   M 10 x 20: 70 Nm
8 - Triple roller spider
Chamfer -arrow- faces towards drive shaft splines
q   Installation position → Anchor
q   Grease splines on drive shaft lightly with grease used in joint when fitting triple roller spider onto drive shaft.
9 - Circlip
q   Always renew
q   Insert in groove on shaft
10 - O-ring
A new O-ring is provided in the repair kit and must be fitted
11 - Cover
q   Always renew
Is destroyed on removal
Repair kit contains modified cover
12 - Hose clip
q   Always renew
q   Tightening → Fig.
q   Various types of hose clip are possible depending on version. Can also be fitted using pliers -3340-, refer to → Electronic parts catalogue “ETKA”
13 - Boot for triple roller joint
q   Greasing → Anchor
14 - Hose clip
q   Always renew
q   Tightening → Fig.
15 - Dished spring
q   Installation position → Fig.
16 - Spacer ring (plastic)
q   Installation position → Fig.
17 - Circlip
q   Always renew
q   Fit into annular groove on shaft before installing (no longer visible once joint is installed)
18 - Outer constant velocity joint
q   Renew only as complete unit
q   Pressing off → Fig.
q   Installing:
q   Drive joint onto shaft with plastic hammer until circlip engages
q   Greasing → Anchor
q   Grease splines on drive shaft lightly with grease used in joint when fitting joint onto drive shaft
