Removing and installing horn and dual tone horn -H1- - vehicles from 11.2004

Removing

Vehicles without charge air cooler/additional radiator:

–	On vehicles with auxiliary heater, unscrew bolts -arrows- for exhaust pipe of auxiliary/supplementary heater at noise insulation.

–	Unfasten bolts/quick release fasteners -1- and -2- and detach noise insulation (front).

Vehicles with charge air cooler/additional radiator:

–	Remove front bumper cover → Rep. Gr.63.

All models:

–	Unplug electrical connector -3-.

–	Unscrew nut -1- and detach horn -2- from retainer.

Illustration shows bumper removed for greater clarity.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Vehicles with charge air cooler/additional radiator:

–	Install front bumper cover → Rep. Gr.63.
