Removing
  WARNING
High voltage! Danger to life!
Safety precautions when handling gas discharge lamps → Electrical system; General information; Rep. Gr.94.
–  Remove headlight → Chapter.
–  Unscrew bolts -1- and -2-.
–  Release retaining clip -3- in direction of -arrow- and detach housing cover from headlight housing.

–  Remove bolt -2-.
–  Lift off cover cap -1- with adjuster wheel.

–  Remove adjuster rod -3- upwards out of headlight housing.
–  Unplug electrical connector -4-.
–  Turn control motor -5- for left-side headlight in a clockwise direction, for right-side headlight in anti-clockwise direction -arrow-.
–  Swivel ball head -2- of actuator shaft downwards out of mounting -1- on reflector.
–  Remove headlight range control motor from headlight housing.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Push ball head of actuator shaft into mounting on reflector and turn control motor to limit stop in installation position.
–  Insert adjuster rod into headlight housing.
  Note
The headlights must always be adjusted if the control motors are removed and installed or renewed → Booklet803.
–  Secure housing cover with bolts and retaining clip.
–  Install headlight → Anchor.
–  Connect the battery. Additional steps required → Anchor.
