Removing and installing seat height adjuster

Note

The seat height adjuster can be renewed with the front seat in position.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Hook -3438-

Removing

Note

t	Remove seat height adjuster -1- as described; do NOT knock it off lever -2-.

t	If tab -arrow- is damaged while removing seat height adjuster, adjuster cannot be reinstalled, but it must be renewed.

–	Pull seat height adjuster -1- as far upwards as possible and hold it in this position.

–	Carefully pull seat height adjuster slightly off front seat.

–	Insert hook -3438- between seat height adjuster and trim -2-.

–	Release tab -3- with hook -3438- and at the same time pull seat height adjuster off lever in direction of -arrow-.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

–	Perform visual check of tab -arrow-.

–	If there is visible damage to the tab, a new seat height adjuster -1- must be installed.

–	Make sure that tab on seat height adjuster engages properly in lug on lever.
