Detaching seat cover from padding (super sports seat)
Detaching seat cover from padding (super sports seat)
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Upholstery clip pliers -V.A.G 1634-
  W00-0484
Removing
–  Remove cover with padding → Chapter.
–  Detach cover -1- as far as possible from padding -3-.
–  Release fastening strip -4- from clips -2-.
–  Detach cover as far as possible from padding.

–  Use pliers -4- to pinch off upholstery clips -3-.
–  Detach cover -1- as far as possible from padding -2-.
  A74-10269
–  Unclip fastening strip -2- of cover -1- from clips -3- of cover.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Use upholstery clip pliers -V.A.G 1634- to install new upholstery clips.
