Removing and installing holder and add-on components of auxiliary heater
  Note
The following illustrations show the position of the auxiliary heater on an Audi A5 Coupé. The layout differs slightly on the Audi A4 and Audi Q5 (different auxiliary heater holder). On these other vehicles the auxiliary heater is however to be removed and installed in the same manner as described for the Audi A5 Coupé.
Removing
–  Switch off ignition (and auxiliary heater).
–  Remove the heater → Chapter.
–  Remove the intake air noise insulation → Chapter.
–  Remove the auxiliary heater exhaust system → Chapter.
   
–  Unclip the power supply and control line connectors -1- from the heater holder -8-.
–  Unfasten the cable tie -2- at the retaining clip.
–  Unscrew the bolts -5- and detach the holder -8-.
  Note
Replace the self-tapping bolts -5-.

–  Unscrew the bolts -5- and detach the holder -6-.
  Note
On the Audi Q5, take the auxiliary heater out of the two-part holder after removing the bolts -5- → Anchor.
Attaching holder, installing auxiliary heater
Perform attachment and installation in reverse order, paying attention to the following.
Tightening torques → Chapter
  Note
Replace the self-tapping bolts -5-.
