t  Shock absorber set -T10001/1-

t  Sealing grease -G 052 128 A1-

Removing
–  Engage 1st gear.
–  Remove rear noise insulation (loosen fasteners -2- and -3-).

–  Remove nut -1-.
  Note
-Item 2- can be disregarded.

  Caution
Risk of damage to selector shaft in gearbox.
Do not prise off or knock off the gearbox selector lever -1- with a lever or hammer.
–  Apply puller -T40160- and pull off gearbox selector lever -1-.

–  Prise out oil seal with extractor hook -T20143/1-.
l  Check selector shaft for damage.

Installing
–  Lightly oil outer circumference of oil seal.
–  Pack space between sealing lip and dust lip half-full with sealing grease -G 052 128 A1-.
–  Drive in oil seal with -T10001/1-.
l  Installation depth: 2 mm below outer edge of housing

–  Install gearbox selector lever as follows:
l  Gearbox selector lever -2- can only be fitted onto selector shaft -1- in one position (gap in splines -arrow-).
–  Secure gearbox selector lever; tightening torque → Item.
–  Install rear noise insulation → Rep. gr.66.
