Removing and installing engine mountings

Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Support bracket -10 - 222 A-
Removing
  Note
t  Renew engine mountings on both sides together.
t  Also renew corresponding brackets.

–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
  A10-11050
–  Set up support bracket -10 - 222 A- with adapters -10 - 222 A /3- on suspension turrets (left and right) as illustrated.
–  Attach spindles -10 - 222 A /11- to engine lifting eyes.
–  Partly take up weight of engine with spindles.
–  Remove wheel.
–  Remove noise insulation → Rep. gr.66.
–  Remove wheel housing liner → Rep. gr.66.

–  Release and unplug electrical connector -3- on left electrohydraulic engine mounting solenoid valve -N144-.
–  Remove bolts -1, 4, 5- for engine mounting.
–  Move retaining plate -2- for engine mounting clear to the side.
–  Detach engine mounting.
Installing
Install in reverse order. Note the following:
Tightening torques → Chapter „Assembly mountings - exploded view“
  Note
Renew the bolts tightened with specified tightening angle.
–  Install noise insulation and wheel housing liners → Rep. gr.66.
