Removing and installing coolant pump
Removing and installing coolant pump
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Refractometer -T10007-
  W00-0689
t  Drip tray for workshop hoist -VAS 6208-
Removing
  Note
Always renew seals and gaskets.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Remove toothed belt → Chapter.

–  Unscrew bolts -1- and pull out coolant pump -2-.
Installing
Install in reverse order. Note the following:
Tightening torques → Chapter „Coolant pump, thermostat, 4/2-way valve with thermostat - exploded view“
  N19-0234
–  Moisten new O-ring -3- with coolant.
–  Insert coolant pump -2- into cylinder block and tighten securing bolts -1-.
  Note
Sealing plug for coolant pump faces downwards.
