Removing and installing bracket for ancillaries Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Pin wrench -3212- Removing –  Remove alternator → Rep. gr.27. –  Remove high-pressure pump → Rep. gr.23. –  Drain coolant → Chapter.

–  Remove bolt -arrow-. –  Remove bolts -1- and -2- and remove idler rollers for toothed belt.

–  Mark position of pulley on hub. To do so, make a marking -arrow-.

–  Remove bolts -arrows-. Use pin wrench -3212- as counterhold tool.

–  Unscrew bolts -1- (3x) and bolt -3-. –  Tie up power steering pump to one side with hydraulic lines attached. –  Detach air conditioner compressor from bracket for ancillaries and tie up to one side. → Rep. gr.87

–  Using T-bar and socket, 10 mm -3185- and Allen key (long reach) -T10058-, loosen bolts -4- of connection -3- and remove connection -3- with thermostat -1-.

–  Remove bolts -1 ... 6- and detach bracket for ancillaries. Installing Install in reverse order. Note the following:   Note Renew the bolts tightened with specified tightening angle. –  Check that dowel sleeve at top right between bracket for ancillaries and cylinder block is fitted; insert dowel sleeve if necessary. –  Tighten bolts for bracket for ancillaries → Fig..

–  To install power steering pump it is necessary to slightly knock back sleeve -2- for bolt -3- in bracket. –  Install high-pressure pump → Rep. gr.23. –  Install toothed belt → Chapter. –  Install alternator → Rep. gr.27. –  Fill up with coolant → Chapter.
