t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362-

Removing
–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove plenum chamber partition panel → Rep. gr.50.

–  Remove air cleaner housing → Rep. gr.23.
–  Remove front exhaust pipe → Chapter.

–  Remove bolt -2- on mounting for particulate filter.
  Note
Disregard -item 1-.
–  Remove front right wheel.

–  Remove cover -1- for drive shaft in wheel housing (left-side).

–  Remove exhaust gas temperature sender 4 -G648--item 1-.

–  Unplug electrical connector -4- and move clear.
–  Remove Lambda probe -1- → Rep. gr.23.

–  Remove bolt -2- and move hoses -1- clear at bracket.
–  Move pressure differential sender -G505- to rear.

–  Remove nuts -arrows- and move particulate filter to rear.

–  Move clear electrical wiring harness.
–  Remove bolt and nut -arrows-.
–  Release hose clips -1, 2, 3- and disconnect coolant hoses from coolant pipe (rear right).
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Coolant pipes, coolant temperature senders, coolant circulation pump - exploded view“
  Note
Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Electronic parts catalogue.
–  Install particulate filter → Chapter.
–  Install air cleaner housing → Rep. gr.23.
–  Install plenum chamber partition panel → Rep. gr.50.
–  Fill up with coolant → Anchor.
