Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362-
  W00-10427
Removing
–  Remove turbocharger → Chapter.
–  Remove intake manifold → Rep. gr.23.
  A23-10532
–  Release hose clips -1 and 2-, lift retaining clip -3- and detach coolant hoses.
–  Remove bolts -arrows- and detach coolant pipe (top) from cylinder head.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torques → Chapter „Coolant pipes - exploded view“
  Note
t  Fit new O-ring.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Electronic parts catalogue.
–  Clean and smoothen sealing surface for O-ring.
–  Lubricate O-ring with coolant and slide onto coolant pipe.
–  Install intake manifold → Rep. gr.23.
–  Install turbocharger → Chapter.
–  Connect coolant hose with plug-in connector → Fig..
–  Fill up with coolant → Anchor.
