Calibration procedure
For details of the exact calibration procedure, refer to the Workshop Manual. The main calibration steps are described below:
t  The "lane departure warning calibration" program is started on the wheel alignment computer.
t  Quick release clamps are mounted on all 4 wheels.
t  Wheel alignment sensors are mounted on the two rear wheels.
t  Wheel runout compensation is performed on the rear wheels.
t  Two wheel alignment sensors are attached to the VAS 6430.
t  The setting device VAS 6430 is aligned with the direction of travel in several steps using the wheel alignment computer as a guide.
t  The calibration program on the diagnostic tester is started under "Guided Fault Finding".
t  The body height is measured at the edges of all four wheel arches and entered into the program.
t  The calibration routine then runs to completion automatically.
