Convertible Top Compartment Cover Locks
Removing
-
Remove rear seat bench and backrest.
CAUTION!
Observe safety precautions when handling pyrotechnic belt tensioners Removal and Installation.

Remove respective rear belt retractor.
-
Disconnect electrical connector behind belt retractor.
-
Bring convertible top into center position.
-
Remove securing clips for front convertible top compartment well trim until compartment locks are accessible.
-
Remove locking washer - 1 -.
-
Remove push rod - 2 -.
-
Mark exact position of bolts - 3 - and remove.
-
Remove convertible top compartment cover lock and lay it sideways,
-
Disconnect switch unit electrical connector and remove switch and lock.
