Disengage the electrical connector retainers - arrows - and disconnect electrical connectors - 1 and 2 - from Engine Control Module (ECM)
(J623).

Remove old Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623).
Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal, the Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623) must be installed with protective housing. New shear bolts must
be used.
After installing new Engine Control Module (ECM), the following work steps must be performed:

The New Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623) and immobilizer must be activated.
Final procedures
After repair work, the following work steps must be performed in the mentioned sequence:
1. Check the DTC memory. => [ Diagnostic Mode 03 - Read DTC Memory ] See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool

2. If necessary, erase the DTC memory. => [ Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory ] See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and

3. If the DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code. => [ Readiness Code ] See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
