Passive Occupant Detection System

CAUTION!

CAUTION!
Replacement part (service kit) for seat occupied sensor (USA) is already pre-calibrated and must not be disconnected under any
circumstance. The service kit consists of:

‹› Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706)

‹› Seat Occupied Recognition Pressure Sensor (G452)

‹› Passive Occupant Detection System Mat

‹› Seat cushion

‹› Wiring harness between Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706) and Seat Occupied Recognition Pressure Sensor (G452).

‹› The passive occupant detection system is only installed on the front passenger seat.

‹› For USA vehicles, modular wiring routing has been implemented from 06.2006.

Perform the following steps before removing the Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706).

Check the vehicle seat design and if there is modular wiring routing; then perform the appropriate repairs.

Check which one of the two possible modulate wiring routing is installed, Modular Light or Modular. Refer to => [ Modular Wiring Routing
