CAUTION!

‹› The passenger occupant detection system safety belt latch is only installed on the passenger seat.

Remove seat:

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Replace the passenger occupant detection system safety belt latch each time the passenger belt tensioner deploys.

‹› Observe safety precautions. Refer to => [ Pyrotechnic Belt Tensioners Safety Precautions ] See: Seat Belt Tensioner/Service Precautions

Removing

-

Disconnect connector - 1 - under seat.

-

If present, remove cable from clip - 2 - equipment versions.

-

Remove the bolt - 3 -.

-

Remove safety belt latch - 4 -.

Installing

CAUTION!
‹› Replace the passenger occupant detection system safety belt latch each time the passenger belt tensioner deploys.

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following.

Replace the bolt on the safety belt latch.
