Selector Mechanism Function Unit

‹› Removing and installing the selector mechanism without the selector lever cable is described in the following procedure, that is, the cable remains

in the vehicle.

Removing

-

Remove selector lever handle. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] See: Selector Lever Handle.

Remove selector mechanism cover - 1 -. Refer to => [ Selector Mechanism Cover ] See: Selector Mechanism Cover.

Remove air conditioning operating unit.

-

Remove ashtray in center console.

-

Disconnect connector on the shift lock solenoid (N110).

-

Disengage locking cable - arrows -.

-

Place selector lever in position "S".

Vehicles with 4.2L MPI engine:

‹› To prevent damage, decoupling element in the front exhaust pipes must never be angled by more than 10°.

Disconnect exhaust system at double clamps - arrows -.
