Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair

Rear Door Handle (>m.y. 1999 VIN 8D XA 200 000), Removing And Installing

NOTE:  To remove door handle, remove door component carrier.

Oval head screw (2x)
-

5 Nm(44 in.lb)

Door handle
-

Disengage operating rod - 6 - from operating clip - 5 - and hinged clip - 7 -.

Unscrew bolts, remove face plate - 3 - and door handle - 2 -.

NOTE:  To prevent damaging the paint surface on the face plate for the door handle, detach before removing the door handle Fig. 1.
