Wheels and Tires
WARNING:
^
Do not re-use any fasteners that are worn or deformed in normal use.
^
Some fasteners are designed to be used only once, and are unreliable and may fail if used a second time. This includes, but is not limited
to, nuts, bolts, washers, circlips and cotter pins. Always follow the recommendations in these procedures - replace these fasteners with
new parts where indicated, and any other time it is deemed necessary by inspection.
Notes:
^
For safety reasons, the tires should be replaced in pairs for one axle at a time or for both axles together; not individually.
^
Always install tires with the deepest tread on the front axle.
^
It is recommended to use tires of the same make, design and tread pattern on all four wheels.
^
Install a new valve stem when installing a new wheel or tire.
^
If using tires with a directional tread pattern, the spare tire should be mounted on the wheel with the tread pattern facing the same way as the tires
on the right-side of the vehicle.
