Restrictor, Removing and Installing

A/C Refrigerant System (R-134a) Major Components, Servicing

Restrictor, Removing and Installing

-

Discharge refrigerant system.

-

Loosen and separate coupling -A- on evaporator inlet line.

-

Remove restrictor -B- from coupling using long nose pliers.

-

Install in reverse order of removal.

-

Replace O-ring -D-, 7.5 mm inside diameter, 1.5 mm thickness.

NOTE:

-

Ensure proper positioning of restrictor O-ring -C-.

-

Insert restrictor -B- with arrow pointing towards evaporator.
-

Restrictor must fit tight in inlet (push restrictor into inlet as far as it will go).

Assemble to allow stress free mounting of evaporator inlet lines.

CAUTION!
Immediately plug open connections on A/C components and lines to prevent dirt and moisture contamination.
