ATF Cooling Lines and ATF Cooler, Cleaning
ATF cooling lines and ATF cooler, cleaning, 09L, 6 Spd. A/T AWD
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Compressed air gun (commercially available)

Hose, approximately 18 mm dia.

Drip tray
Note:

Always clean ATF cooling lines and ATF cooler before installing a replacement transmission.
^
Read the rules for cleanliness when working on the automatic transmission.
^
Thoroughly clean all joints and surrounding areas before disassembling.
Procedure

Place drip tray underneath.

Remove bolt - 2 -.

Connect a hose approximately 18 mm dia. to ATF line - A - and secure with a hose clamp. Place other end of hose in drip tray.
CAUTION: Wear safety goggles.

Blow through ATF line - B - using a compressed air line (maximum 10 bar).

Change hose from ATF line - A - over to ATF line - B - and repeat sequence.

Press ATF cooling lines onto transmission or cooler by hand until they engage, then tighten.
-
Check ATF level.
