External Audio Source Connection, AMI

External Audio Source Connection, AMI

The external audio source connection (AMI) is located in the glove compartment.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Radio Removal Tool (T10057)

‹› Fiber Optic Plier Repair Set (VAS 6223)

‹› Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

Turn off all electrical consumers.

-

Remove ignition key.

Removing

-

Open glove box.

-

Insert the two clips of the Radio Removal Tool ( T10057) into the release slits on the External Audio Source Connection (R199) until they engage.
Points on the grip eyelets of tool face outward.

Pull External Audio Source Connection (R199) out of mounting frame.

-

Disconnect all connectors on the External Audio Source Connection (R199).

Versions with MOST bus

Attach the protective cap for cable connector ( VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector -  2 -.
