Front Sill Panel Trim

Front Sill Panel Trim

‹› Removal and installation is described for the driver side of the vehicle. It is similar on the passenger side.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Trim removal wedge (3409)

Removing

-

Remove the instrument panel side cover. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Side Cover ] See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Instrument Panel.

Remove the A-pillar gap cover. Refer to => [ A-Pillar Gap Cover ]. See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Interior Trim/A-Pillar Gap
Cover

Driver side:

-

Remove the cable operating lever. Refer to => [ Hood Release Lever ]. See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Interior Trim/Hood
Release Lever

Remove the front sill panel trim screw - 2 -.

Procedure for both sides of vehicle:

-

Unclip the front sill panel strip - 1 - from the sill panel beginning at the front using the trim removal wedge (3409) - arrows -.

-

Pull the front sill panel trim toward the rear and out of the footrest.

Disengage the front sill panel trim on the operating lever mount and remove it.

Installation

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

‹› If the trim clamps remain in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the trim.

‹› Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

Driver side:

-

Engine the front sill panel trim to the operating lever mount and push it into the footrest.
