Rear Sill Panel Trim

Rear Sill Panel Trim

‹› Removal and installation are same for right and left.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Trim removal wedge (3409)

Removing

-

With rear side airbag: Remove the rear side airbag. Refer to => [ Rear Driver Side Airbag Igniter or Rear Passenger Side Airbag Igniter ] See:
Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Side Airbags.

Remove the side padding. Refer to => [ Side Upholstery ] See: Seats/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Rear Seats.

With fixed rear bench seat backrest: Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Backrest, Fixed ] See: Seats/Service and
Repair/Overhaul/Rear Seats.

Unclip the sill panel strip - 1 - from the sill panel beginning at the front using the trim removal wedge (3409 ) - arrow A -.

Unclip the sill panel trim on the side panel - arrows B - and remove it.

Installation

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

‹› If the sill panel trim clamps remain in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the trim.

‹› Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

Install the sill panel trim into the C-pillar trim and press it into the sill panel until it engages audibly.

Stretch the door seal lip over.
