Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components Safety Precautions ] See:

‹› Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge

static electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Remove tunnel side trim panel. Refer to => [ Tunnel Side Trim ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual Standard Front Seats

Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - on the height adjustment motor - 2 -.

Release the tension in the torsion bar. Refer to => [ Torsion Bar ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual Standard Front
Seats.

CAUTION!
If tension is not released when loosening or tightening the threaded connection between the adjusting spindle and the seat pan, the
threaded hole in the seat pan will be damaged or destroyed.
