‹› The procedure description is based on a manual or power standard or Sport front seat and Comfort seat.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Drill for vehicles equipped with a DVD player

‹› Eye protection for vehicles equipped with a DVD player

‹› 12 mm drill dia. for vehicles equipped with a DVD player

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components Safety Precautions ] See:

Restraint Systems/Service Precautions.

‹› Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge

static electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Remove front seat:

‹› Standard and Sport Manual Seat. Refer to => [ Manual Standard Front Seats ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual

Standard Front Seats.

‹› Standard seat, Sport seat (power) and Comfort seat. Refer to => [ Power Standard Front Seats ] See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Power Standard

Front Seat with or without Memory Function.

Attach front seat to Fixture For Seat Repair ( VAS 6136) => [ Front Seat, Installing on VAS 6136 ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Seat Versions Overview.

Vehicles equipped with a mount for a DVD player:

‹› DVD player removed.

Unclip the trim - 2 - for the connector -  arrow -.

CAUTION!
Eye injury risk.

‹› Wear protective eyewear!
