Fan Shroud: Service and Repair

Radiator and Fan Shroud

‹› The cooler and fan shroud can only be removed and installed together. 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Drip Tray for Workshop Crane (VAS 6208)

Removing

‹› When assembled correctly, radiator and condenser can show slight impressions on fins. This is not damage. Radiators or condensers should not be

replaced because of slight impressions like these.

Remove noise insulation.

-

Remove front bumper cover and the bumper..

Remove charge air cooler. Refer to => [ Charge Air Cooler ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air
Induction/Turbocharger/Intercooler/Service and Repair/Charge Air Cooler. 

Audi A4 vehicles

Remove right headlamp.

-

On vehicles with a headlamp washer system, remove the right headlamp washer spray nozzle. Refer to 

-

Disconnect connector - 1 - on the Front Passenger Front Airbag Crash Sensor (G284). Refer to Removal and Installation.

Remove bolts - 1 - and - 2 -.
