Engine Oil Cooler

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Drip Tray for Workshop Crane (VAS 6208)

Removing

CAUTION!
Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

‹› When the engine is warm the cooling system is under pressure.

‹› Reduce pressure by covering coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and carefully opening.

Drain coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] See: Cooling System/Service and Repair/Procedures.

Remove accessory assembly bracket. Refer to => [ Accessory Assembly Bracket ] See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Engine
Accessory Bracket/Service and Repair/Accessory Assembly Bracket.

Remove bolts - 4 and 5 - and remove the engine oil cooler - 3 - together with the seal - 2 -.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Oil Filter and Oil Cooler Assembly Overview ] See: Oil Filter and Oil Cooler Assembly Overview. 

‹› Always replace gaskets and seals.

‹› Secure all the hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.

Install engine oil cooler - 3 - with a new seal -  2 -.
