Upper Timing Chain Cover

Removing

-

Disconnect the connector from the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205) - 1 -.

-

Remove the bolts - arrows - and then the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205).

Remove the bolts - 1 through 5 - and remove the timing chain upper cover.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Timing Chain Cover Assembly Overview ] See: Timing Chain Cover Assembly Overview. 

‹›  Replace O-ring.

Coat the sealing ring and the O-ring with engine oil.

Install the timing chain upper cover. Refer to => [ Timing chain upper cover - tightening sequence ] See: Timing Chain Cover Assembly Overview

Install the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205 ) => [ Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 ] See: Variable Valve Timing/Variable Valve Timing
