they may deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on.

Remove switched-off side airbag sticker from rear door frame.

Remove remaining adhesive from door frame with cleaning solution.

Carry out program in "Guided Functions" to activate rear side airbags. The respective adaptation program must be carried out.

Fill out registration card and send to responsible distributor or importer for registration. Remove page 3 of registration card from vehicle wallet.

‹› If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.
