Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair
High Beam Bulb

Halogen Headlamps

Observe notes on contact corrosion => [ Contact Corrosion ] See: Service Precautions.

High Beam Bulb

Removing

-

Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

-

Turn light switch into "0" position.

-

Remove headlamp housings => [ Headlamp Housing ]. See: Service and Repair/Halogen Headlamps/Headlamp Housing

-

Remove high beam housing cover - 1 - from headlamp housing - arrow A -.

-

Remove bulb - 3 - from the spring clips -  B arrows -.

-

Disconnect electrical connector - 2 - on the bulb. 

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

-

Insert new bulb into the housing without touching the bulb with bare hands.

-

Position the bulb on the lower spring clip.

-

Press the bulb into the housing past the upper spring clips.

-

Re-connect harness connector and close housing cover.

-

Install the headlamp housing => [ Headlamp Housing ]. See: Service and Repair/Halogen Headlamps/Headlamp Housing
