Knock Sensor: Service and Repair
Knock Sensor 1
Removing
-
Remove electrical connector - 2 - from the knock sensor 1 (G61).
-
Remove coolant pump with the coolant thermostat. Refer to => Engine Mechanical 19 Removal and Installation.
‹› The knock sensor 1 is located below the intake manifold behind the coolant pump.

Remove knock sensor 1 (G61).
Installing
-
Installation is in reverse order of removal.
