Remove the bolt - 7 -.

Vehicles equipped with a manual adjustable seat:

-

Release the side airbag - 6 - and hook -  5 - from the backrest frame- 4 - and remove the airbag from the pocket sewn into the cover - 1 - downward
while guiding the side air bag wiring harness.

Versions with power seats:

-

Release the side airbag - 6 - and the hook -  5 - from the backrest frame - 4 - and leave it in the pocket sewn into the cover - 1 -.

Remove the cover and padding form the seat backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Upholstery ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and
Repair/Overhaul/Front Seat Covers and Upholstery and remove the side airbag.

‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components Safety Precautions ] See:

Service Precautions.

‹› Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge

static electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example. 

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

‹› Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.

The threaded bolt hole - 7 - must always be cleaned (for example, using a thread tap)
