‹› Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge
static electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.
CAUTION!
The replacement part (service kit) for the seat occupied recognition system is already precalibrated and must not be separated under any
circumstances. The service kit consists of:
‹› Passive Occupant Detection System Control Module -J706
‹› Passive Occupant Detection System Pressure Sensor -G452
‹› Passive Occupant Detection System Mat
‹› Seat cushion
‹› Wiring harness between the passive occupant detection system control module -J706 and passive occupant detection system pressure
sensor -G452.
Removing

Move the seat height to the middle position before removing the seat.

Remove the front passenger seat:
‹› Standard and Sport Power Seat, Comfort Seat and Super Sport Seat. Refer to => [ Power Standard Front Seats ] See: Body and

Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on.

Attach front seat to Fixture For Seat Repair ( VAS 6136). Refer to => [ Front Seat, Installing on VAS 6136 ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service

Remove the front backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual
