CAUTION!
‹› After removing the control module, make sure no dirt or foreign objects enter the steering column.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Torque specification: Refer to => [ Steering Column, Assembly Overview ] See: Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Steering Column, Assembly Overview. 

‹› If only the electronic steering column lock control module (J764) was replaced, used the previously used control module bolt.

‹› If the steering column was replaced, then remove the protective cover and use the screws in the new steering column for the Electronic Steering

Column Lock Control Module (J764).

When installing the electronic steering column lock control module, insert the pins - arrow A - in the groove -  arrow B - on the steering column.

After re-connecting the connector, - 2 - make sure the wiring harness - 3 - is secured by the clip - 5  -.
