‹› The illustration shows the power steering pump without belt pulley.

Drive the sleeve - 2 - for the bolt - 3 - in the bracket back slightly to install the power steering pump.

Remove the power steering pump.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Tightening specifications: Refer to => [ Power Steering Pump, 4-Cylinder TFSI without Dynamic Steering, Assembly

Overview ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/4-Cylinder TFSI Engine Assembly Overviews. 

‹› Replace seals and gaskets.

‹› Before installing the new power steering pump on the intake side, fill the hydraulic oil and install it by hand until oil drains out on the high

pressure side.

‹› Secure all hose connections with new hose clamps.

Note the installation position of the intake hose on the power steering pump.

Note the installation dimension of the clamp. Dimension -  a - must be 4 mm.
