Front Rubber Bonded Bushing for Rear Final Drive

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)

‹› Hydraulic cylinder (VAS 6178)

‹› Hollow piston cylinder (VAS 6179)

‹› Assembly tool (T10205)

‹› Assembly tool (T10254)

‹› Assembly tool (T40033)

‹› Assembly tool (3346)

‹› Assembly tool (3301)

‹› Assembly tool (T40186)

Removing

-

Place the vehicle on a hoist.

-

Remove coil spring. Refer to => [ Coil Spring ] See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and Repair. 

‹› To replace the rubber bonded bushing, lower the front of the subframe. It is not necessary to remove the subframe.

Replace the front rubber bonded bushing

-

Remove the cover - 1 - and - 2 -

-

Remove the stone protection plate - 2 -, where applicable.
