Wheel Bearing Housing Rubber Bonded Bushing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Thrust plate (VW 401)

‹› Thrust plate (VW 402)

‹› Punch (VW 408 A)

‹› Punch (VW 411)

‹› Shop press (V.A.G 1290 A)

‹› Assembly tool (T40184)

Remove the front rubber bonded bushing

Remove wheel bearing housing. Refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] See: Wheel Bearing Housing

In order to remove the front rubber bonded bushing, the pressure plate (T40184/2) - 3 - must be mounted on the front rubber bonded bushing in such a
way so that the lugs -  2 - fit into the grooves - 4 -.

Place the tools on the front bonded rubber bushing and the wheel bearing housing as illustrated.
