A4 Quattro Sedan L4-2.0L Turbo (CAEB) (2009)

Remove oil pan bolts in sequence - 13 to 1 - (opposite the tightening sequence).

Remove ATF oil pan.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
‹› Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ ATF Pan, Strainer and Mechatronic Assembly Overview ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/0B6A (6-Speed Automatic Transmission)/ATF Pan, Strainer and Mechatronic Assembly Overview.
‹› Replace gaskets.
‹› Replace ATF pan bolts.
‹› With high mileage vehicles, replace the ATF strainer when the ATF pan is removed. Refer to => [ ATF Strainer ] See: Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/0B6A (6-Speed Automatic Transmission)/ATF Strainer. Otherwise the ATF strainer must be replaced only if it
is damaged.

Clean all magnets in the depressions of the ATF oil pan. Ensure that the magnets are in full contact with the ATF oil pan.

Thoroughly clean the sealing surface, removing the residual gasket material completely.

Install the 4 guide pins (T40199) in locations - 10, 11, 12, and 13 - with the ATF pan removed.
‹› The guide pins (T40199) center the gasket and the ATF oil pan. This ensures the ATF oil pan is sealed correctly.

Slide new gasket and ATF oil pan over the guide pins (T40199).

Tighten new ATF oil pan bolts in the sequence - 1 to 9 -.

Remove 4 guide pins (T40199).

Install remaining bolts in sequence - 10, 11, 12, and 13 -.
-
Install subframe crossbrace.
