Selector Lever Boot, Separating from Handle

Removing

-

Remove selector lever handle. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] See: Shifter A/T/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Selector
Lever Handle.

Bind together the spring tabs - 1 - on the selector lever handle using a cable tie - 3 - as shown in the illustration.

Slide selector lever boot sleeve - 2 - over the retaining tabs on the spring tabs - arrow -.

-

Remove cable tie and the sleeve with the selector lever boot from the selector lever.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Installation position of selector lever boot:

‹› The longer side of the frame for selector lever boot faces toward the driver side.

Install selector lever handle. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] See: Shifter A/T/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Selector Lever
Handle.
