Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Puller (T40176)

‹› Grease for clutch disc shaft splines (G 000 100 )

Removing

-

Left Flange Shaft, Removing. Refer to => [ Left Flange Shaft ] See: Differential Assembly/Service and Repair/0B6A (6-Speed Automatic
Transmission)/Left Flange Shaft.

-

Secure extractor (T40176) on the torque converter - A - using the nut - B -.

-

Rotate extractor (T40176) upward.

‹› To prevent the torque converter from tipping, counterhold at the bottom of it as illustrated.

‹› Pay no attention to - arrow -.

-

Remove torque converter from the input shaft - arrow - without tilting the converter.

-

Set torque converter down carefully, for example on the workbench.
