When tightening the drive pinion, the counterhold tool (3028) must be supported on the housing brace -  arrow -.

A - 3 bolts M 8 x 25

B - 32 mm socket

C - toggle

CAUTION!
Increase tightening torque gradually, frequently measuring friction torque. The friction torque measured prior to removal must not be
exceeded! Otherwise the rear final drive must be replaced!

Tighten the new drive pinion nut just enough until the measured friction torque is reached before removing.

Install rear final drive, refer to => [ Rear Final Drive ] See: Service and Repair/Rear Final Drive 0BC (0B4A,0B2A,0B6A,0B5A
Transmission)/Rear Final Drive.

Checking axle oil in rear final drive, refer to => [ Gear Oil in Rear Final Drive, Checking ] See: Fluid - Differential/Service and Repair/Rear Final
Drive 0BD (0B2A,0B6A,0B4A,0B5A Transmission).
