Gasket

‹› Clean the flange shaft and position the gasket

Driveshaft

‹› Removing and installing, refer to => [ Driveshaft ] See: Driveshaft

Balance disc

‹› Not fitted on all vehicles

‹› May be installed between the multi-point socket bolt => [ (Item 5) Bolt ] and the backing plate => [ (Item 6) Lock plate ] on the rear final

drive.

‹› If installed, balance disc must not be re-installed when propshaft has been detached from rear final drive.

Bolt

‹› 30 Nm plus an additional 90° turn

‹› Self-locking

‹› Always replace

‹› Observe tightening sequence => [ Driveshaft tightening sequence: ] See: Driveshaft

‹› The threaded holes for the bolts in the flange shafts must always be cleaned. (e. g. with a thread tap)

‹› for loosening and tightening, use Counterhold Tool (T10172) and Adapters (T10172/5)
