c. Before tightening, align subframe using master locator holes:
d. Align master locator hole -1- in body with subframe hole -2- and bracket hole -3- on both sides.

Use mandrel tool No. 3393, or equivalent, to check whether holes -1- and -2- align on both sides.

If the holes do not align, wheel alignment must be carried out after repair.
NOTE:

This method of aligning the subframe is a suitable replacement for a complete wheel alignment only when, excluding removal and
installation of the subframe, more then two mounting bolts have been loosened and the alignment of holes -1- and -2- were checked
before the repair.
CAUTION: The master locator holes in the body must be protected against corrosion with suitable sealer.
e. Install bolts/washers -1- and -2- hand-tight.
f.
Install hex nuts -3- and -4- hand-tight.
g. Using the illustration, tighten in the following sequence:

Bolts/washers -2- and -5-: 110 Nm (81 ft. lbs.). plus an additional 1/4-turn (90°).

Bolts/washers-6-: 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).

Hex bolts -1-: 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).

Hex nuts -3- and -4-: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).

Support and guide links: 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.). plus an additional 1/4-turn (90°).
NOTE: Push both links inward when tightening.

Support link to control arm: 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs.).

Coupling (using new ribbed nuts): 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).

Suspension strut to support link: 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).
h. Insert ABS wheel speed sensor cable into bracket at brake caliper.
i.
Install wheels.
NOTE: After installing the subframe, as required, check axle geometry (alignment). See: Maintenance/Alignment/Service and Repair
