Seat Cover: Service and Repair
Seat Cover and Padding For One-Piece Rear Backrest, Replacing

One-piece rear backrest
Removing:
-

Remove one-piece rear backrest. See: Seat Back/Service and Repair 

-

Remove arm rest. See: Service and Repair 

-

Cut wire clips -3-.

-

Cut wire clips -5- at bands -2-.

-

Pull cover -4- forward.

-

Lift cover -4- and cut wire clips -A-.

Installing:
-

Use VAG1634 upholstery pliers to install new wire clamps.

-

When installing, first clip cross bars, then longitudinal bars. When installing new cover, cut holes for headrest and armrest mounting.

-

Push back bands -2- (2x) for each headrest cutout at corners.

-

Secure bands -2- on back of cover using wire clips -5- (2 each).

-

Cut bands -2- past wire clips -5- (at -B-).
